IMPACT LA is an exciting collaboration between the Association of Pro Bono Counsel (“APBCo”), the Jenesse Center, Los Angeles area legal services organizations, major APBCo-member private law firms, and OneJustice. It is part of a nationwide pro bono project launched by APBCo. IMPACT LA provides wrap-around legal services in a clinic setting to survivors of domestic violence.

Location: Jenesse Center, 3761 Stocker Street, Los Angeles, CA 90008.
Time: Third Friday of Each Month, 9 AM – 2 PM
Training: All necessary training is provided via on-demand webinars made available to pro bono attorneys in the weeks before the clinic.

How the Clinic Works: At the clinic, pro bono attorneys are matched with pre-screened domestic violence survivors. Attorneys assess issues related to housing, immigration, and public benefits – all under the supervision and guidance of a legal services attorney. No experience in these substantive areas is required – all training and supervision will be provided. At the end of the clinic, legal services attorneys will conduct a case review for the pro bono attorneys. If on-going legal services are needed for any survivors, the volunteer attorneys may have the opportunity to work on the matter with an experienced staff attorney at a partner legal services organization.
