The Houston Volunteers Lawyers Project (HVLP) honored APBCo Secretary Ellyn Josef with its 2014 Trailblazer Award for her leadership in launching the Virtual Law Clinic in Houston through which lawyers, from their own desks, use technology like Skype to meet and interview, virtually, clients in remote locations from their law firm offices. Ellyn graciously accepted the award, virtually, as she was accompanying the APBCo Board in its meeting with Vice President Joe Biden in Washington, D.C., on the day of HVLP’s awards event (view Ellyn’s acceptance speech).
