Folks with DC Offices: please save March 10 for our next session in the Best Practices in Pro Bono breakfast series, sponsored by the Washington Council of Lawyers. Full details here. This session will be a road show, bringing in pro bono colleagues from other cities to share successful projects from their hometowns:
– Philadelphia’s Landlord-Tenant Appellate Mediation Program, where pro bono attorneys use alternative dispute resolution to help housing parties reach sustainable agreements and avoid lengthy litigation.
– Minneapolis’ eviction expungement program, which helps tenants clear their public records so that they can once again access affordable housing.
– Richmond’s Church Hill community office that Hunton established three decades ago in one the city’s most economically disadvantaged neighborhoods.
We hope to see you on March 10! https://wclawyers.org/best-practices-ideas-from-other-cities/
